ANCHORS

DOUBLE SPIRAL CABLE ANCHORS
Steel wire spiral cable anchors to be used for anchoring structures (e.g. systems for natural hazard protection) to the subsurface

Spiral rope anchors work in tensile domain.

Rope anchors are the best solution in all situations where the direction of the pull out force is not defined – or is variable – or in hard-to-reach areas, such as in drapery systems or surficial reinforcing systems of slopes, in rockfall and avalanches protection kits, in debris flow barriers and in slope stabilization systems.

Standard ICAF 44 anchors are made with a spiral rope, folded on itself in a “U” shape, and fixed around a hot dip galvanized thimble: at the anchor head, where there is the thimble, the rope is inserted in an aluminium/polyethylene pipe (or, as an alternative option, in a stainless steel pipe), as a further protection of the part of the anchor which is out of the ground, against corrosion and/or abrasion of the rope.

ICAF 44 HP is the improved version of the ICAF 44 Standard spiral anchor: in the HP anchor type the thimble is replaced by a “pulley-shaped” element. This solution allows a better load distribution on the loop (anchor head) thus achieving better performances.

ICAF 44 anchor was tested according with the EAD 331852-00-0102. Taking into account of test results, the European Technical Assessment (ETA 19/0567) was issued, and on the base of this, the kit obtained the Certificate of Constancy of Performance of construction products in accordance with the Regulation (UE) n. 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
